Four MAC teams are still standing (I don't think I'm missing anyone). What do you think of their chances to advance to the semis:
Sterling Heights Stevenson v. Detroit Southeastern Macomb Dakota v. Clarkston Marine City v. Goodrich Madison Heights Madison v. Jackson Lumen Christi |

Personally, I rank them in their likelihood of advancing, in my opion, at least one more round. This is based not only on the MAC team, but also on the
strength of opponent:
Marine City SHS Dakota Madison While I think Madison is perhaps the best of these teams for its size, I think they are playing the stiffest competition of the group, relative to the division they're in. The opposite goes for Marine City. While I would put money on SHS winning a state title before I'd put it on Marine City, I'm much less impressed with what I know about Goodrich than with what I know about SE. |

I agree on Marine City at #1 and Madison at #4. I would flip flop Dakota and SHS. Without Justice Wright I think SE is going to win that game. I also think DHS
has a good chance to upset CHS after doing some more research on CHS.

Watched Marine City and Marysville....fourth time i've seen MC... still not impressed with them....their the best in the district every year and will be
the best in the region this year.....they should handle goodrich.....but I think that's as far as they go...can't see them beating a Country Day or
Marshall team.... their just not that good.... SHS...i've said from the beginning...the only team gonna beat SHS is SHS......Clarkston usually looses about
this time of year...I think their for real......(haven't seen them play).... I think they'll beat Dakota (seen Dakota twice) and loose semi-final to
SHS.....Madison...i've seen them...wow.....i have all the respect in the football world for JLC.....i'm planning on goin to this game.....without
seeing JLC it becomes a toss up for me..... just can't see Madison loosing....... The hardest thing for me now is trying to figure out which game to go
see.....If I thought Marine City had a chance of getting the the finals I'd go watch them but I don't ( Abrams played a couple of plays and went
hobbling out not to return).....

"Son of Swami" takes Madison over JLC. I don't agree with him, but it would be nice to see.

the more research i'm doing on JLC the more i'm liking them.....should be a great game..... JLC beat Marshall easily who beat St. joseph easily
(who's still playing div 3)... that's why i like Marshall over DCD....

Your SHS pick from last year is looking pretty good.
Congrats to the Mariners as well. They look tough right now. That is a first class program that doesn't always get their due respect with the other big name MAC Red teams. Scarcelli is one of the best coaches in the state regardless of dvision. |
