Can't be said enough, nice job. I'm glad the MHSAA took my advice on the D3 pairings LOL. Seriously though, this gives Dewitt the other side of the
bracket and it gives Mt P the neutral field against EGR they so crave. Of course, I'm making a lot of assumptions, but what the heck, I'm a fan, not a
coach. Truth be told, I'd really like to see Linden pull off the R1 district and maybe Melvindale or Highland Park come out of the other side - not because
I think they'd be an easier road (if you make it, your good), I'd just like a chance to see these teams play.
And yes, I know all these other D3 teams would like to see a fresh face as well. Who knows, everyone thought EGR had it in the bag the year Caledonia won it all, so you just never know. |

I joined in on Searn's live chat during the selection show, and I want you to know that when D3-R1-D2 was announced, I credited you for picking that one.... I have witnesses. I'm not a coach or player either, so I don't mind looking ahead a bit. You mentioned that a northern team will get us on a neutral field. Before that can happen, a southern team (St Joe?, Lakeshore?) will get to experience the friendly confines for the first time (as far as I know). I agree, it's always fun to see new teams from the east side, but I truly want the best one to get to Ford Field. I don't know who that is right now, but I'd expect all the teams you mentioned to be in the hunt. Looking forward to another fun, hopefully long, playoff run. With or without EGR, I'm thinking of going to the finals for both days this year and catching all eight games. I've never done it before, but have thought about it for a while now. I think this is finally the year. Maps, Brackets and More:
