OK based on my 614 schools actually playing 11 man football this year, here is some projected numbers:
256 playoff teams/614 total number of teams * 64 number of Class D schools = 26.7 Class D teams making the playoffs = 27 rounding
So that leaves 5 Class C teams making the playoffs in D8. Here is the teams at the bottom that won in week 1:
Morenci
Bellevue
WOLL
Lawrence
Bessemer
Dryden
I posted 6 teams since basically 614/2 = 307 - 256 = 51/256 = .199. This means that one of the 5 teams above Dryden didn't make the playoffs based on my formula. So that's the early bird view of the bottom 32 teams.
