One spectator's opinion of today's contest:
While the starters played this one was not even close...EGR dominated overall with excellent line play on both sides of the ball. They have a very talented
TE, RB and QB. Defense was extremely quick. Dewitt's skill players look pretty good but were neutralized because EGR dominated line of scrimmage giving
Dewitt's QB very little time to set and throw. On the bright side for Dewitt (if it can be called a bright side) after the starters came out Dewitt's
second unit looked good and outplayed EGR's back-ups.
Overall assessment: EGR is loaded (big, fast and plenty of skill). Dewitt will be good and showed some depth, particularly at the skill positions but
doesn't have the starting horses on the front line to hang with a group like EGR. Would like to know what others' who attend think.
