I would agree with your analysis RRR. Two things: I will say that East is not as deep this year. The starters are as skilled as any previous year but there is a noticeable drop-off in several positions when going to second teamers. Barring injury, EGR has a good chance at returning to Ford Field again. I believe the kid who is key to their success this year is Drummond. Plays both ways. Can play DB, LB, FB, RB and probably will play all of the above some of the time this year. He may not be the highest recruit on this team (Voss is) but there is no other kid more important to East's success this year IMO. He will make Spencer (RB) look good on O and can shut down an opponents star WR. Reminds me alot of Luke Glendenning.....a little less O, alot more D.
The other thing is that I think DeWitt could still make some noise. They looked a little outclassed tonight but they have some good athletes and a couple of studs. If they can gel and improve, I could see a deep playoff run, especially if they fall to D4.
