It is a Pre ..... I'm not at all disappointed ... Easily the best phone I've had .....
I wouldn't give it up for an iPhone,.. FYI ... For those concerned about music .. The Pre syncs with iTunes exactly like an iPod, |

I've owned several Palm's (TX, Treo, Centro) and have always been generally pleased with their capabilities. Have been looking forward to this one but
unfortunately will have to wait 6 more months as I'm locked in with Verizon. enjoy

For those looking for a phone with a strong web browser ... Let's just say my recreational use of my computer has dropped at least 50% since I got the Palm
Pre.
In the month leading up to the Pre release I did my homework ... Popping in cell phone stores that carried working models of different devices ... While this could change soon as there should be several new Android phones released in the next year .... The iPhone 3G(S) and the Pre were really my only two serious contenders... The iPhones are way ahead in Apps and have more memory storage .... But the Pre keyboard and ability to multi-task won out for me in the end. Those looking towards AT&T and iPhone will tell you can get a 16GB iPhone for the price of a 8GB Palm Pre... But consider this ... For those interested in an 'everything' plan .. You may have saved $100 in your cell phone service .. But you will also be paying $1,200 more over the life of your 2 year contract compared to a Sprint customer .... |

Curious........can you see web page in it's entirety, including parts that are in Java script? What about sites with media (video or sound)? What about
this site. Can you reply, including emoticons and everything?..............just wondering (and waiting)

This site views and functions exactly as if it were on a PC.
The only thing that it seems as if this and every other mobile browser can't handle is embeded Flash videos ... I've listened to streaming media without an issue. From what I read they are working with Adobe now and we can expect a flash player on the Pre by the end of the year. It seems as if Palm is working hard ... I've already updated my OS a few time and am currently running WebOS 1.0.3 If there are any specific sites you want me to check let me know. |

I'm not exactly sure of a release date or for what service ... but I just saw something about a new Android phone from HTC called the "Hero" that
looks like it might be able to compete with the iPhone and the Pre.
