David Fortin signed up to go to Grand Valley State summer camp as a running back and started with that group.
Midway through the first day the defensive coordinator went to all the different groups and asked if there would be any body interested in trying Line-Backer position drills and David jumped on the opportunity.
Needless to say he finished the first day and also started the second day with the line-backers.
They asked him to test at their field house to get a second look two weekends ago and he did very well and all is history.
Keep in mind, go to the summer camps to get exposure and don't be affraid if another coach ask you to try something different to jump on the opportunity. You most likely will not be in the same position once you get into college so why not familiarize yourself with potentially your next spot.
