I'm glad Sims is going to MSU. I find it very difficult to root for OLSM players who go to UM. Tough to root against Blue, but also hard to root for a
former Eaglet, particularly one who was involved in a shady transfer. Besides, if he couldn't do the work at UDJ, I doubt he could handle the academics at
UM. State is a better fit.

Interesting comments by Sims on his MSU choice. He said MSU doesn't have any athletic tight ends like him. How's that for an introduction to your future teammates? Has he ever seen Charlie Gantt play? Gantt is a pretty solid tight end--both blocking and receiving. Sims hasn't even played tight end. He was a wide receiver. But, he's already saying that he is more athletic than the tight ends already on the team. I wonder if that's what Dantonio told him during the recruiting. I'm sure coaches say a lot of questionable things during recruiting. Most recruits are smart enough to not repeat those things to the media.
