I would say thats about right.
As an Oakridge fan, I would say that Oakridge, MCC, and Montague are all interchangeable too.

As a neutral party I think Montague is ahead of both MCC and Oakridge.
Here is how I would rate the teams (you have to rate the runners up as well IMO): 1. Muskegon - no brainer 2. DeLaSalle 3. Rockford 4. East Grand Rapids 5. Lake Orion 6. Holland Christian 7. Inkster 8. Montague 9. Muskegon Oakridge 10. Ovid Elsie 11. Muskegon Catholic Central 12. Detroit Country Day 13. Leslie 14. Traverse City St Francis 15. Ubly 16. Forest Park |

Winners in order:
1) Muskegon 2) Rockford 3) Holland Christian 4) EGR 5) MCC 6) Montague 7) Oakridge 8) TCSF That said, would love to see Montague vs. HC in a shootout ... Or EGR vs. MCC in a slugfest ... Runners up in order: 1) DLS 2) Lake Orion 3) Inkster 4) DCD 5) Ovid Elsie 6) Ubly 7) Leslie 8) Forest Park Not too much changed there ... If I had put them together, I still don't think DLS beats Rockford or anything like that ... I may take a look at combining these somehow later ... would be interesting to think of some of the head to head matchups. |

I think people are taking too much away from Oakridge's championship game.
upfootball, you say you take Montague over Oakridge, but the Ridge did beat them. Neither team played well in that game. Dont judge Oakridge off just the game against Ovid-Elsie. That Marauder D was underrated, IMO, and Oakridge really didnt bring their A game.

I'd take Montague over both MCC and TCSF. They might be good games but I think the Cats could get it done.
I think Oakridge was limited a bit by having a Soph at QB. Imagine if Kater or Westendorp was QB at Oak. Potts is a good athlete but he is only a Soph. I cant wait to see what he accomplishes as a Senior! |
