KillerPanda and PrimeTime01 didnt get their picks in this week so its down to 7 guys. I'm thinking we should make each game worth 2 points this week so the pressure will be on to make up ground or not drop any spots.

Game of the Week
MUSKEGON over DeLaSalle-- Which Muskegon will show up? The one that dominated Lowell from start to finish or the one that spotted Davison a 22 point lead in the second half?
Keys for Muskegon: I think its clear that when they take care of the ball, Muskegon is nearly unstoppable. When they dont, well we all know what happens.
Keys for DeLaSalle: Establish long, time-consuming drives to keep the potent Muskegon offense off the field. Good tackling is another key to slowing down Muskegons athletes.

Other Games
ROCKFORD over Lake Orion-- It's tough to pick against either team here. LO demolished what I thought was a great Fordson team last week. Rockford flexed their muscles last week in shutting down Austin White in Spartan Stadium. I think this one will be a low-scoring defensive struggle like week 1.
Keys for Rockford: Get pressure on the Freshman LO QB and force him to make plays out of the pocket.
Keys for Lake Orion: Establish a running game to take the pressure off the shoulders of the Frosh quarterback.


EAST GRAND RAPIDS over Inkster-- This might be the most exciting game of the weekend. Talent vs. Tradition. I'll take Stuursma in the finals everytime.
Keys for EGR: Cant give up the big plays. Inkster has great athletes so wrapping up and containing everything to the inside on defense will minimize that.
Keys for Inkster: Keep Glendenning bottled up. He's a homerun hitter and if the Vikes give him any room he will make them pay.

HOLLAND CHRISTIAN over Det. Country Day-- I cant get over the fact DCD was beat by 29 by a D8 school. Granted, it wasnt your everyday D8 team but still, I like HC.
Keys for HC: Slow down DCD just enough to outscore them. I dont think either team will stop each other much, but HC gets a couple stops and the game could be over.
Keys for DCD: Get the ball out of AJ's hands. He will hurt you in so many different ways. The only way to stop him is to take the ball out of his hands.

MUSKEGON OAKRIDGE over Ovid-Elsie-- Jr. RB Chris Robinson is well over 2,500 yards for the season. Yet, I still think it will take more than one great player to knock off the Eagles.
Keys for Oakridge: Obviously, they have to slow down Robinson. He's a big bruiser with good speed but I think if they can get 2 or 3 guys flying to the ball, they can slow him down.
Keys for O-E: Establish a running game, and slow down Oakridge's running game. If they can force Oakridge to pass, it might help their chances.

MONTAGUE over Leslie: Montague finally got over the semi-final hump. They had to beat 2 good teams, and 2 great teams to do it. I think IM and Nouvel are both better than Leslie.
Keys for Montague: Establish a ground game. Make Leslie bring some guys up to the box so things will open up for Kater and the passing game.
Keys for Leslie: Get pressure on Kater. The longer the ball is in his hands, the more he will hurt you.

UBLY over TC St. Francis-- Ubly has yet to be tested this year. Their closest game so far was a drubbing of a then undefeated RO Shrine 32-14. I think they have enough to take TCSF this year.
Keys for Ubly: The Bearcats need to use their speed to beat the Glads. TCSF is a big team and wore down Ravenna. Ubly cant let that happen to them.
Keys for TCSF: Dont let Jordan Kaufman(sp?) beat you. He's been a big threat all year and it might be the key to stopping their high powered offense.

MUSKEGON CATHOLIC CENTRAL over CF Forest Park-- Like I said, MCC is on a completely different level than anyone else in this division. This one is done by halftime.
Keys for MCC: The offense has to come out clicking. CFFP has a great defense and they need to come out and put up a couple scores to get the Trojans doubting themselves.
Keys for CFFP: Stop the MCC ground game. They have a stable of good backs and if they can keep it low scoring, they might be able to pull the upset.

Even with the games being worth 2 points? We could make them worth more to make things more interesting or something.

Or you could just take a couple stabs at some long shots and hope they pull of an upset...? IDK there's gotta be a way to make the finals more interesting for the contest.
