Who is your biggest surprise team left so far? |

In my opinion it is by far Hartland...During the regular season, they lost their "toughest" games..I would have never have expected them to make it
this far

Hartland comes to mind right away ... then again I'm not overly surprised they beat who they beat....
I'm not sure there's any huge surprises this year so far. Teams like Lakeland and Wyandotte are right there with Hartland I suppose. |

I would go with Marshall. I definitely didnt expect them to beat BC Pennfield or Goodrich.

For me, Marshall is a surprise. They struggled in a lot of games this year, but they are junior laden, so maybe they are gelling at the right time.
Also, EL surprises me a bit. Their draw was favorable, though, with Haslett and Dewitt, both of whom were tough but probably not as good as recent years past. "The common man revels in HAVING WON. The champion finds his satisfaction in WINNING." - F.H. Yost

The EL train keeps on going.
If I'm a D8 team this week, beware of upsets since the teams went a perfect 8 - 0 last week with the higher CPA. |

Manchester is not a bad choice, but they did not play well against Onsted and still were competitive, so I figured they would be competitive with Hudson and
Blissfield. Cascades teams usually do not fair well in contests against LCAA teams, so I would have to classify them as a mild surprise. Manchester and Grass
Lake have typically done well in the playoffs as they both have excellent coaching staffs, which helps.
I was not as surprised by Manchester's wins over Hudson and Blissfield after seeing JLC's trouncing of Onsted. I just think the LCAA was down a bit this year overall, but it was hidden by the closeness of the games among each other. "The common man revels in HAVING WON. Cros-Lex...thought they'd lose to Marysville...NEVER thought they'd make it past the MC/Clintondale winner.
Davison...even though Searn has "mad love" for them. To a lesser extent...Grand Rapids Catholic Central...figured Kingsford would have had them. Also to a lesser extent...Montague...figured Iron Mountain would have taken care of them. |

I'll add Livonia Stevenson since I thought they would lose the past 2 weeks ...

I've got to go with Croswell-Lexington. I've been picking against them for weeks.
Leslie has continued to surprise me. They have been playing better every week. At this point, I consider them the favorites over MSMCC. "The common man revels in HAVING WON. The champion finds his satisfaction in WINNING." - F.H. Yost

At this point, my surprise teams have to be JLC, Leslie and Davison. Davison barely even made it into the playoffs, and now they're in the semis.
Cros-Lex and Lahser are also pretty surprising. Their not necessarily huge surprises, but Southfield and Stevenson being a pretty good position to get to Ford
Field are a little surprising, too. I figured they'd be good, but it's hard to say Southfield is an underdog this weekend after what they've been
doing. Stevenson is still an underdog, but it wouldn't blow my mind if they won.
