All-Searn Hall of Fame Posts: 6000 10/14/08 12:06 AM MHSAA Football Stats	Actually there were changes in D5. You did do my Thumb area recommendation last week. So why revert back? Plus Muskegon Oakridge could be placed with Kingsley. Wyoming Kelloggsville (an alternative would be Allendale going SW) could go with the SW schools then. This would free up Battle Creek Pennfield to be place with Hillsdale, JLC, and Onsted. Portland would be with Stanton Central Montcalm and the other GR area schools. For teams that play only 8 games, a 4-4 record is treated the same as a 5-4 record of teams that play nine games. In the current projection, Pickford was 2nd in POP avg. of the 4-3 (and 3-3) teams. So, one more win will probably be enough. Unfortunately Pickford would still have a very low POP average 9th in class D. No way will we need that many teams from each class. If Pickford gets in it'll be as a result of beating Cedarville.

Then, I would probably have a couple of changes in the SE corner of the D6 map as well (Clinton and Whitmore Lake gold). I see that SnoozeToMe changed D1 a tad in the metro Detroit area. To answer AuldSchool, does the map look better in D5 now compared to what it was? It certainly does to me. I love the maps since it is easier to tell if teams should be switched. All-Searn H.M. Posts: 704 10/14/08 4:31 PM Forum Donor	I know from some WC fans perspective that they would like to see some new faces, getting 'tired' of Allendale & Oakridge in the first rounds. Also the proposed district would likely keep away from a long trip to the UP. Just more fun to meet them at Ford Field than in week one or two. Seriously if both teams were healthy a WC vs Allendale state final would be a distinct possibility. Don't know the chances of any returnees. Posted in OK thread that the winner of an Oakridge, Allendale, & WC district (which has happened) would be a favorite for the finals.

I didn't notice that until just now.

Looking at the overall impact though, I think only the blue region really benefits from the change (in terms of shortening travel to the other district in the region). Purple and orange remain about the same. Brown, green and white increase travel. It's never to late to talk about it, but you're right, it is too late for me to change it.
