Harper Woods (4-2) at Cranbrook ( 2-4) A week ago I would have picked Harper Woods, but if Dakota Sherman is at quarterback and if Harper Woods is as banged up as I hear they are, the Cranes will pull off UPSET SPECIAL #1 Cranbrook by 4

Hamtramck (0-6) at Lutheran North (3-3) Even though Hamtramck is 0-6 they are better this year than last. With Lutheran North's big win over Harper Woods they should end the season over .500. Lutheran North by 21

Lutheran Westland (2-4) at Lutheran Northwest (6-0) This is Northwest's homecoming game and they will want to have a good game in front of a big crowd. Rusty will be coming back to Northwest for next year. Northwest by 17

Warren Collegiate (1-0) at Detroit University Prep (1-5) I know that this is not a Metro matchup, but--hey--Prep is practically in the Metro. Collegiate has been preparing for this one for weeks, but Prep will give them their first loss of the season. Detroit University Prep by 10

Livonia Clarenceville (5-1) at Birch Run (2-4) Forget the records. Birch Run is a good class B team. Last week they defeated a previously undefeated team. They will win again this week in UPSET SPECIAL #2 Birch Run by 8

I wouldn't exactly call Birch Run beating Cville an upset. I think that Birch Run is an above average team who plays in a tough conference, where week in and week out they could win or lose. They just beat an extremely good team in Millington. Cville better get ready, because I don't think they've seen a team as good as Birch Run is going to be. Put that on top of that bus ride they're taking there, things might be ugly for the trojans.

Hamtramck (0-6) at Lutheran North (3-3) Some how North scored 35 points with 100 yards of offense. Hamtramck plays solid defense - I doubt North will hang 35 on them. Lutheran North 26 - Hamtramck 8

Lutheran Westland (2-4) at Lutheran Northwest (6-0) Northwest will be jacked not only cause its Homecoming but to revenge last year's close loss Northwest 41 - Westland 0

Warren Collegiate (1-0) at Detroit University Prep (1-5) Prep should win big here - they have improved every week & Collegiate has only played a couple games University Prep 32 - Collegiate 0

Livonia Clarenceville (5-1) at Birch Run (2-4) Birch Run is a tough team that plays in a good football conference I think C'Ville will have more athletes but might get out-executed by the Panthers. That said I am going with the Trojans. Clarencville 27 - Birch Run 21

Harper Woods (4-2) at Cranbrook ( 2-4) Ok - I think the way these teams have been playing lately it will end up in a 2-2 Tie >> and the ref's will refuse to watch anymore of the game and leave.
(Can anyone confirm the 11 sacks by the DB from North?) ------- It was a type-O > he only had 1 sack!

North over Hamtown...Hamtown runs five different trick plays. One (the double reverse pass) results in a score. The other four result in scores as well, just for North instead.

Northwest over Westland...Westland breaks a dive early on, why? Because they always get at least one. And then Matt Rolf proceeds to take over passing for three scores, and running three in himself...all of this without breaking a sweat.

Uprep over Collegiate....Because Prep is da bomb.

Cville over Birch Run....Cville runs jet sweep 73 times. They also attempt to get their putrid passing game going. They throw five passes, two to gainer, two to birch run, and one to a lucky Birch Run fan sitting in the front row.

Harper Woods over Cranbrook...Dakota Sherman rushes for 200 yards in the first half. Gary Gerson in a stroke of genius takes over as the OC in the 2nd half and proceeds to pass the Cranes back into purgatory. The monster, #64 for Harper Woods, gets a late fumble recovery and rumbles 75 yards for the winning score, he leaves Cranbrook players, parents, and even a referee in his path, decleating all of them.

North vs Hamtramck- north had a lucky game against harper this one is gonna be kinda close north by 12

Westland vs Northwest - northwest won't be able to be stopped by westland this time especially because it's homecoming northwest by 24

Warren Collegiate vs University Prep- i've gotta go with prep they are getting better Prep by 8

Clarenceville vs Birch Run- cville joins northwest in the playoffs cville by 18

Harper Woods vs Cranbrook- Harper is gonna be mad after a loss to north Harper by 6

North vs. Hamtramck. What needs to be said? North by 14.
Northwest vs. Westland. NW gets Rusty in a blowout. Northwest by 28.
C'Ville vs. Birch Run. I don't know much about BR. C'Ville by 7.
HW vs. Cranbrook. Harper tries to get back on track. HW by 1.

Hamtramck at Lutheran North -- North's defense looked a lot better last game and held Hartfield in check for like 30 yards. Should keep it up. Lutheran North 28 - Hamtramck 6

Warren Collegiate at Detroit University Prep -- Collegiate is bad = Prep should roll.
University Prep 38 - Collegiate 0

Livonia Clarenceville at Birch Run -- Birch Run has a good program but Clarenceville has been on a tear since losing to Northwest. Clarencville 26 - Birch Run 14

Harper Woods at Cranbrook -- Harper is playing its worse ball so far but Cranbrook isn't much better and the Cranes defesne is pretty weak. I also saw Cribbs @ St. John's hospital after the game last week ~ so that can never be good. Harper Woods 8 - Cranbrook 7

Lutheran Westland at Lutheran Northwest -- Westland had a lot of trouble getting yards vs Clarenceville and Northwest will be even tougher to move the ball on, plus iIheard it's their homecoming - Uh oh! Northwest 48 - Westland 0

Lutheran North 38 Hamtramck 0: After their big win last week, they'll do the same this week.

Lutheran Northwest 52 Lutheran Westland 0: Had it not been for two turnovers by C'Ville in their own zone, Westland wouldn't have scored at all. They had trouble moving the ball last week, and it's gets a lot worse this week!!

University Prep 20 Collegiate 12: Because i know nothing about Collegiate and UPrep is due for a win

Birch Run 28 Clarenceville 20: I would like to see Clarenceville win this one, but i don't think they have a good enough passing game to get the job done.

Cranbrook 22 Harper Woods 20: Harper has been playing worse every week. I don't know if Cranbrook can get the job done, but they're certainly in position to win or lose this one

Lutheran North vs Hamtramck: North's young players gained confidence last week, and they will only get better as the season moves on.

Lutheran Northwest vs Lutheran Westland: This one will get ugly quick.

University Prep vs Collegiate: Let's all root for Prep for playoff points.

Birch Run vs Clarenceville: While Birch Run will be well coached and has a strong playoff history, they graduated a lot of good players from last years squad. If Cville can handle the long trip and come out firing, Birch Run will not be able to handle the speed.

Cranbrook vs Harper Woods: In my opinon this one is a toss up. Both of these teams can be unpredictable. Will Cranbrook use the spread and get the ball to Sherman? Will Harper use their talent and just play fast. I give my edge to the speed.

Here we go again:
Lutheran North 48 Hamtramck 12- The Cosmos explode offensively in this one.

Lutheran Northwest 42 Lutheran Westland 8- This will get ugly.

Birch Run 26 Clarenceville 14- It'll be a decent game though.

Harper Woods 22 Cranbrook 20- This game will be sloppy ugly.

UPrep 22 Collegiate 14- I'm padding my win-loss record with this one. Hooray playoff points!
