Sophomore Posts: 7 09/28/08 8:37 AM	Tags : None Lutheran North (2-3) at Harper Woods (4-1) Despite the records this will be a good game. Harper Woods barely beat UPrep two weeks ago but they have the home field advantage. This will be a close one. Harper Woods by 3 Livonia Clarenceville (4-1) at Lutheran Westland (2-3) I was impressed by Westland's comeback against Cranbrook this week. Clarenceville showed that they are clearly one of the top two teams in the Metro with their convincing win over North. Clarenceville by 14 Lutheran Northest (5-0) at Hamtramck (0-5) Lutheran Northwest is racking up a lot of playoff points by defeating a lot of class B schools. Make that one more. Northwest by 21 Cranbrook (1-4) at Detroit University Prep (1-4) I was impressed by the good sportsmanship that UPrep showed in their loss to NW. Sophomore Posts: 50 09/28/08 11:49 AM	Harper Woods 28 Lutheran North 20- Harper continues to put in work to make a return trip to the playoffs. Clarenceville 30 Lutheran Westland 16- The Ville is a solid team and should get the job done. Cranbrook 22 University Prep 18- Prep keeps it close but can't quite pull it off. Lutheran Northwest 38 Hamtramck 6- Northwest rolls into the playoffs with win #6 CentralsFinest record 14-2 (Forgot to predict Week 1)

Junior Posts: 120 09/29/08 10:20 AM	Lutheran North (2-3) at Harper Woods (4-1) - Hatfield should have a good game here. North is young but is making good strides. Livonia Clarenceville (4-1) at Lutheran Westland (2-3) - Westland has always been a fighter, and I liked what I saw against Cranbrook. Don't know what the Gun formation was all about? Westland always seems to prove to be a tough test for Clarenceville. I do believe Clarenceville is too much this year. Clarenceville wins this one underneath the temporary lights. Lutheran Northwest (5-0) at Hamtramck (0-5) - Northwest secures their playoffs with this win. Cranbrook (1-4) at Detroit University Prep (1-4) - Didn't like how cranbrook went under center. Hopefully, Cranbrook goes back to the spread and gets Sherman the ball. I see Cranbrook winning here.

Freshmen Unranked Walkon Posts: 6 09/29/08 10:37 AM	Lutheran Northwest beats Hamtown 35-7 to make playoffs. Cranbrook beats UPrep in a close game. 21-20 Harper beats North easily. 28-14. Westland loses in a close one to CVille.

Sophomore Posts: 55 09/30/08 7:24 PM	Lutheran North 27 Harper Woods 20- This one should be a close game. Both of these teams were expected to be near the top this year and they've haven't been the least bit impressive. Especially Harper Woods line, which was supposed to be solid, but has looked awful. All that said, I like Lutheran North to pull this one out. Clarenceville 36 Lutheran Westland 14- The Trojans should handle Westland fairly easy here (assuming they give Gainer the ball!) . The only thing keeping it from being a shutout is that it's westland's homecoming and they usually play that game a little better. Westland has had trouble scoring and only averages 12 pts per game compared to the Trojans' 37. With their non-existent passing game, Westland will have trouble moving the ball on this D. Cranbrook 24 University Prep 6- Cranbrook will look for revenge after last weeks game and take it out on a very beatable U Prep team Lutheran Northwest 56 Hamtramck 0- This would could get really ugly, really quick. Northwest's reserves should get a lot of playing time here, but i still expect them to protect the shutout.

Senior Posts: 275 10/02/08 8:40 PM Varsity	Cranbrook vs Univ. Prep > This could be a close one / Prep plays hard for 4 quarters Cranbook defense is getting worse by the week. It could be an upset with the Cranes playing in downtown detroit. Cranbrook 21 - U Prep 18 Lutheran Northwest vs Hamtramck > Northwest seals its playoff birth against an improved Ham-town team. Northwest 42 - Hamtramck 0 Clarenceville vs Lutheran Westland > Westland has a tough run defense and C'ville can't throw much at all. Although I don't think Westland will be able to move the ball well on the Trojans D. C'Ville 27 - Westland 8 Game of the Week Lutheran North vs Harper Woods @ Harper. I think home field advantage might help the Pioneers here but hey I am going to pick an upset and say the down Mustangs pull one off here -- only because every week I see Harper their line plays worse and the defense gives up easy yards.
