Where is calvinboy? I thought he was the "manager" of this forum. I miss his picks because they were probably the only un-bias ones out of the bunch.

Yeah -- plus he always followed Cranbrook pretty well -- maybe he is taking to much Xanax from the last 3 years of Cranbrook football and the poor start to
this year. I would like to know why in the free press preview Gerson says that some new transfer - Oscar Trusty is the fastest running back they ever had at
Cranbrook and the only position I have seen him play is DE and he is pretty bad there -- He got owned at the C'Ville game > With no tackles!

My whereabouts | #2 | ||

I have been deluged at work and had two trips to take kids to college. I wasn't able to make any of the scrimmages this year and I haven't seen enough
action to make intelligent picks. I hope that things slow down in the next couple of weeks, and if they do I'll be more active here.
Thanks to all who are keeping up with the Metro so well. |

Question for Calvinboy | #3 | ||
|
I thought Gerson always called the offensive plays...yet at the homecoming game some other guy called all the offensive plays I have never seen before and
Gerson only did special teams?
And if so why did he let this guy switch the offense from a shot-gun spread offense to underneath center and dive it? I would of thought that passing on Westland would of been easier than running the ball and they played right into their strengths. Is this the last year for Gerson? I personally hope not - he is a very solid good coach. But - It kinda looks like he is separating himself from the team. |

From what I heard, Gerson did step down as the official offensive coordinator. Although they were under center, they still tried to pass the ball quite a bit
which led to three interceptions. It just isn't the same Cranbrook team. To run the spread that they have ran before, you have to have a good quarterback
and athletic receivers. It also helps to have a solid line. They haven't had those characteristics for three years now. I agree, Gerson has been a good
coach for the Cranes. Wouldn't want to see him step down.

Well - I dont know about passing a lot in the 2nd half though.
- Cranbrooks best athlete -Dakota Sherman had NO touches at all that game vs Westland. He accounted for 170 yards rushing vs Northwest and gets NO touches in a homecoming game??? I think the C'Ville game plan of not getting your best athlete the ball has creaped into the Cranes offesnsive playbook! Gerson should get rid of that new guy if he is calling the plays now- |

I agree that Sherman needs more touches. I was wondering the same thing after watching that game. P.S. - Did you see the film of the North/Cville game, looks like Gainer had 100+yds on like 12 carries. Looks like Cville made some changes after their performance against NW. |

No didn't see that C'Ville North game > although North's defense is quite poor this year.
Gainer should have been getting the ball all season though. You shouldn't have to make changes like that midway through the season... especially when its even obvious to all the Metro / Searn posters! I still hope C'Ville keeps winning - good for them. |

REWMICH....? | #8 | ||

Speaking of where is Calvinboy > does anyone know what happened to REWMICH?
He used to post all the time... but I think he was a Mustang fan, so I guess there isn't much to talk about this season huh
