Too bad for CC, not going to be much of a senior campaign for him...not that it wouldn't have been at his original HS...but no comparison in programs.
Obvi Kyle Nichol a younger brother of Spartan and former OU player? Any similarities? Or does Keith have the goods between the two of them. I see younger bro got no votes, but with only 7 votes that may not mean anything. Similar styles between the brothers? I'm thinking M's RR wouldn't mind having Keith, in his stable, to run his offense. Question I should probably know the answer to, and maybe this belongs on the college board, but if Hoyer struggles, as he is prone to, does anyone think we might see the former Red Arrows QB take some snaps in EL this year? Bottom line: is KN eligible after transferring? |

I believe KN is out of action for 2008.
I kind of thought the younger Nichol might be going into his junior year, but his profile on rivals says he's a senior .. which is why I included him. .. for some reason I think I might be wrong. http://michiganpreps.rivals.com/viewprospect.asp?pr_key=80520 Oh well if he's actually a junior. Anyway, the younger Nichol is a lot smaller , listed at 5-8, 171 lbs. .... so probably not as big a prospect ... but he can certainly get it done at the hs level running and throwing.

tommiegun, he's option #2 in the poll.
I haven't watched many of these kids play, so I really can't say who's the best. ![]() |

Crap, I voted before I realized the kid from Midland was coming back. Maybe I should read before I vote.

I don't even know who the QB for my home team will be this year - most likely a Sophomore.

Well considering Andrew Maxwell is ranked the 11th best QB in the country, I'm gonna have to go with him on this one. It'll be interesting to see if
him and Nichol compete for the starting spot at MSU. Maxwell is more of a pro-style QB while Nichol is more of a spread QB. Seems like Maxwell would fit the
system a lot better, but Nichol apparently has unmatched talent. So we'll see what happens.

I'd give Nichol the early lead to start considering he's been out of high school for a few years and has a year to learn the Dantonio system before he
has to compete for playing time.
As much as Nichol excelled in the spread at Lowell ... clearly he does not think of himself as a system QB considering his college choices so far.

After watching Maxwell and Schaaf for years, watching Kyle Nichol, Chris Cagle, and Casey Blackport at various camps this summer...my favorite QB going into
this season, and I can't believe he isn't on here because he's a clear-cut #2 QB in the state of Michigan, is Nader Furrha. His height is a
hindrance, but he has the second strongest arm in the state behind Maxwell and probably the best accuracy in the state, along with very good mechanics. On top
of that, the kid has run a high 4.4 before and is a terror both passing and running the ball. If he was three inches taller, Maxwell and everyone else
wouldn't even be in the conversation for best QB in the state, and Nader would probably be getting offers from every D1 school in the country, but
that's what size will do for you. Central has looked at him, other MAC schools, Michigan offered him a preferred walk-on spot to play another position
because he isn't tall enough...but this kid is going to tear it up this season. One of the best youtube highlights I've ever seen is from Furrha.

I think its plainly obvious who the top hyped QB is. But I had to put my vote is for South Haven's QB, because I think he might personally have the best
season of them all.

OK.... Ill give you that, but..... I still think that a guy can be the BEST QB and still have a less statistically dominant season.
