Looks like Ohio State will take over the number one spot in the polls as both LSU & Cal lost tonight. Missouri, UConn, & Cinci also fell from the ranks of the undefeated.
OSU has the only realistic chance to stay unbeaten. Just have to get past MSU, Penn St, Wisc, Illinois, & U of M
(U of M fans can even hope that they can get into the BCS again.)
Other undefeated teams have land mines ahead.
# 16 Hawaii - not a serious player in all this yet. Has Boise St and Washington as the tests on their schedule.
# 20 Kansas (6-0) - still has major Big 12 games. Nebraska, Okla. St. & Missouri.
# 14 Ariz. State (6-0 & leading vs Washington) - have Cal, Oregon, & SoCal
# 5 (Possible #3 in next poll?) South Florida - Big East team has Cinci (6-1) & UConn (5-1)
# 4 Boston College (7-0) - Maybe #2 in polls. And with a bye next week could be #1 with a MSU victory over OSU.
But with Virginia Tech, Fla St, Maryland, Clemson, Miami (FL) all on the schedule…
How far does former #1 LSU fall? Cal will tumble about 6 to 10 spots. A lot of big names look to move up with one loss.

1. Oregon had some key injuries this weekend, but I believe them to be the best team in the land right now. However, with the way things are this year, how can we decide who's the best without a playoff?

2. I'm also a little tired of everyone saying LSU has the best defense. Auburn has the best defense.

3. We'll see if it was players or coaching when Michigan faces the Illinois spread attack.

4. The shine is off the Bret Bielema apple after they got housed by an okay Penn State squad. This is similar to what has happened with Kirk Ferentz, in terms of coaching buzz. I personally feel both these guys are great, but the average fan is much more fickle in their appreciation.

5. Ohio State will lose at Penn State. Hawaii will lose. Kansas could be for real, but will probably hit one of those mines. Arizona State will lose all three of those games. South Florida could lose to Cincy, but not UConn. BC will definitely lose a game. Several 1-loss teams will be out there. 2-loss teams should keep fighting and not give up hope. Again, how can we not have a playoff?

MHSAA Football Stats

Hawaii only has one road game left as well and it isn't against Boise State or Washington. So they have a favorable schedule left. They are favored in the rest of their games by multiple websites.

will they let hawaii play in the bcs title game? i think ohio st has a great chance of running the table and south flordia does also
and kansas the game with missouri will be tough

I have to say, yesterdays turn of events had me giddy. I would love nothing more then to have a playoff system. It is my wish that we have all the majors with losses and have a few teams like S. Florida that do not. I want the whole system turned upside down and inside out. Give me my 32 team playoff!

Id say that South Florida #2 has a better chance of beating UConn, Cincinatti, Rutgers, Syracuse, Pittsburgh and Louisville; than OSU has of beating Michigan State, Penn State, Wisconsin, Illinois and UofM on the road!

Should be a playoff with all Conference Champs and a few wildcards!

Hell we dont need to reinvent the wheel. We have everything already. Jets has the idea. Take the 11 conference winners then add in 21 (I know thats a lot) at large bids. The reason I consider 21 is that you need to get the playoffs to end the week after new years and run during the majority of the month of december. To rank the teams the conf winners get the 1 to 11 rank automatically. The others get ranking 12 to 32. This is all done with what is already there, the BCS Avg. The reason for the number of teams is that it allows the use of 31 bowl games as incentive. This provides some good money for the communities as it allows the bowls to be played. Plus provides the money to the schools that they use for scholarships. I could see the setup for the money being 2 - 4 - 8 - 16 - 32 for each bowl. That would be on par for the current bowl totals. As for how to have sponsorship. The 32 million championship game should be allowed a dual sponsorship if so desired but the 6 games for the quarters and semis should be a bid of around 10 and 2/3 million for each game. This would be a rotating basis and allows the sponser to stay with the bowl longer. Every 3 years they would get the semi final game. I would suggest the same for the first two rounds.

Only nine of the Top Ten played this week - and four lost.

#2 South Florida
#6 South Carolina
#8 Kentucky
#9 California

Soon to be in - and out? - of the top ten. #12 Arizona State (7-0), #15 Kansas, #17 Hawaii.

Thirteen teams with one loss or less. Three are Pac-10 teams which have to play each other, three Big 12, two ACC…

Michigan WILL beat OSU. Penn St has a real shot next week as well. (First team to 14 points wins)

Oklahoma will not lose again (even though they looked awful vs Iowa St) The big 12 is even more down then the Big Ten.

If BC survives VT, they'll run the table.

BCS Championship: Oklahoma vs BC (or LSU)

Hawaii will lose.

Well, the Boise State game is almost over and the Warriors (I don't like nickname changes LOL) are winning by 12. So Boise State will have to make a good comeback to pull it out. I'm hoping that the last game will be picked up by one station or another.

I'm hoping that the Arkansas vs. LSU game will be one of my several TBA replay games. I did see the critical play on ESPN2 though.

Yep u can UN lead pipe lock it. Brennan played a great game and the defense tightened up enough at the end of the game to pull off the win. Hopefully now they beat Washington finish it off.

MHSAA Football Stats

The Deuce picked up the Washington game on 12/1 at 11:30 pm. Plus the duece is replaying the Boise State game at 3am tomorrow 11/27 morning.
