Student-Athletes Flock to Professor
It's a damn shame though. What does the commercial say? "330,000 NCAA athletes and almost all of them going Pro in something else"
This is lock stop with my gripe against parents/families with the mercenary mentality. They will transfer their 'student athlete' to another HS to get a better chance at a scholly and college. Next you have student-athletes struggling under the weight of college athletics, which is tantamount to going to school AND working a full time job, shaving corners just to get passing grades. Grades to maintain their athletic eligibility, so they can maintain their scholarship, so they can continue to go to college....to get an education?????
Of course then they are really prepared for the real world. Because those kinds of perks are available in all real jobs.
Is it just me? Does anyone else see the paradox here?
Parents, Wake the hell up. Stop chasing the fantasy through your kids. Almost NONE of them are good enough to be pros. Get a freaking education.
