Flint Beecher at Harper Woods: I was somewhat surprised and shocked, respectively, at last week's first round Harper Woods and Flint Beecher games. I really thought that Harper Woods would handle Byron without too much trouble, but the game was a struggle that Pioneers were somewhat fortunate to win. On the other hand, Beecher was more than merely fortunate to win their game with Flint Hamady, requiring two fumble returns for touchdowns in the fourth quarter and a defensive stand to come out on top. My guess is that Beecher spent a lot of emotional energy last week, and will have a hard time Friday night. I also expect a better effort from Harper Woods. Harper Woods 34, Flint Beecher 20.
