Flint Beecher upset Flint Hamady 34-30 on Saturday and now faces Harper Woods on Friday at 7 pm. Beecher lost to two Class A teams (Flushing and Holly) during
the year, and beat Clawson 27-19 in Week 4.
Hamady dominated Beecher in all areas except the final score. Beecher returned two fumbles for touchdowns in the fourth quarter to pull out a game that looked to be locked up heading into the final quarter. Beecher wll be no pushover, but the matchup looks to be a much better one for Harper Woods than Hamady would have been.
The winner of the Pioneer/Beecher game will take on the winner of Monroe St. Mary/Blissfield.
