I don't know if you guys know this but 2 teams (Colon and Battle Creek St. Philip) have voted to leave the SJV (Saint Joseph Valley) and join the SCAA
along with Bellevue.
This upcoming football season will be the last for Colon and St. Phil in the SJV. |

I saw something about that on mlive I think ...
I always like to follow the top SJV teams ... chances are a few might end up in the finals ... Hopefully it works out for all teams involved? Is a team like Mendon going to have a tough time finding additional non-conf games? (With the smaller schools avoiding them and the bigger schools with nothing to gain by playing them) |

I searched for a newspaper article in the area, but got none. Please post it when you see it as I always like to see those type of things.
Here are where the new proposed league stood in the 2007 - 2008 SEN wise: 538. Bellevue 270 AVERAGE DIVISION 8 STARTPOINT = RANGE 536 - 560 548. Colon Community 253 CLASS D STARTS 556. Pittsford 239 562. Climax-Scotts 227 578. Tekonsha 120 + Coldwater Pansophia Academy 77 = 197 584. Battle Creek St. Philip 151 + Battle Creek Calhoun Christian 35 = 186 596. Camden-Frontier 167 597. North Adams-Jerome 167 601. Litchfield 156 605. Waldron 138 618. Burr Oak 87 Interesting that the league will have 11 football teams. Is Jackson Christian going to field a football team in the near future? By having an odd number of teams for football, it makes scheduling harder to do. League is going to have to assign teams non league game weeks in advance for 2 years. I wonder what will happen to the MHSFCA website now that Vince took a job at SVSU. Jackson Christian has no plans to field a football team. The school is very small, has no football practice or game facility, and is committed to soccer.

I know C-S is struggling to find games not this upcoming season but the next one they have open weeks in Weeks 1,5 and 9 All the breakdowns are in the previously posted link. |

With the move for St. Phil and Colon to the SCAA, the St. Joe Valley drops to six teams. There is a rumor that the Kalamazoo Valley has invited the SJV to join
to become a 14-team conference..
