All-Searn 1st Team Posts: 2064 05/18/09 5:46 PM Forum Donor	Tags : None It is reported on the lunatic forum aka Mlive (myself included in those loonies) that longtime AD Robert Santello is retiring. Mlive FB East forum topic 59044. I confirmed this independently from someone who would be in position to know. It was reported there is a committee gearing up to look into his successor. This was also confirmed. I don't know how long this process will take, but I am guessing that a new AD will be announced within a month as they are wasting little time getting the process underway. Mr. Santello, many thanks for all your years at CC. That is quite a legacy you built upon and left your mark upon.

I also have it on good advice that Mr. S will hang around a bit to ease that transition. This is big news. A new AD at one of he premier high school sports programs in the state of Michigan. In terms of overall sports successes teams like CC, AAP, BBR, jump out at me, but few others. At least not of the larger schools. For the sake of argument CC of late state quarters in hoops, States in wrestling, Oak Cty champs in track, runners up in tennis, multiple individual state wrestlers. Hockey championship They have averaged better than 5th place in tennis most of this decade. Been to states almost every year this decade in wrestling. Their FB history is well known on this forum. Lax runners up previous two years. 5 or 6 hockey championships in the last decade. etc etc etc Like I said, this is a big deal.

Coach Dudas and the new strength and conditioning coach...Guy, have put together an intense workout program to improve stength, agility and speed. The kids are really working hard, it may be fun to watch.

When I played at CC we built a strong team by having a good work ethic, and high expectaions. However I often look back and think if I knew now what I then... that is where I beleive a strength coach comes into play.

Sophomore Posts: 16 06/11/09 11:30 AM	Lovie, The new strength coordinator, his name is Guy M......, not sure the spelling, went to school with Coach Dudas and is very knowledgeable about weight training. He has two boys at CC and has been working with all the kids in the weight room after school since football ended. The new AD has been asked to make him the strength and conditioning coach for the whole school...all sports. It's not official yet but that is the plan. He has his own unique equipment...logs with handles, cow bells, they look like bowling balls with handles, weight sleds, elastic bands etc. and is sharing it with the team. I believe the summer conditioning program he and Coach Dudas have put in place will show much improvement in this years team strength and speed..

He has a son (Stone) that will be a junior next year at CC. The younger son will be a freshman next year, but I thought it was still up in the air whether he will be attending CC or WLW.

I would not worry too much about the strength and conditioning at CC, hey are hitting it pretty hard right now. Functional strength and explosive strength are the Focus. "Magical" milk shakes If you know anything about supplements you know with what is available over the counter, you would be a fool to mess with illegal roids now. Leave the "roids" to the Pro's and the college guys looking to cash in. They all get caught and shrink once "combine day" passes anyways. The public does not care, look at baseball, or Pro Football all of them are still playing just serve a joke of a penalty and come back. If they perform no-one really says anything after a couple weeks. Pro athletes use for recovery more than size and strength, you are already a physical specimen to make the pro ranks, injuries are the issue at that level.

OLSM I am sure is busting it hard this off-season as well, not everything is a conspiracy or someone cheating , I think the CHSL represents itself quite well in most sports, very well in many as a the deepest toughest league most years in football. Sorry you will not find my disrespecting people on my posts, just looking for info, and commenting once in a while. Hope college is going well for you.
