novi wrote: I'm always curious to follow how teams that are put together like SLE perform after the season without any seniors ... and bringing back 100% of the contributors from the season before. I don't know how many games they'll win .... but I would have to expect a lot of improvement.
Interested in where MHSAA players will be playing at the next level and/or college football in
general?

I would have to agree with you Searn. It may not be a vast improvement in terms of wins but team unity can be a major factor in games. These kids who have had
significant time to grow together could surprise some opponents next year and who knows, maybe they will sneak up on some teams?

I know GB has the best RB/QB combo in the state for the class of 2011. Hayes/Morley...Hayes started on varsity last year as a soph rushing for over 1100 yards
with an avg of 6.88 yards a carry and he also had 300 yards in rec. and remember GB threw it 277 times so to have a RB get 1100 yards is crazy. Morley started
since his freshman year...1100 yards with double digits in TD's his frosh year and 2300 yards 25 TD's his soph season. Great to be able to watch these
two for two more seasons.

Grand Blanc probably has the most talent at the skill positions in the KLAA going into 2009 ....
If they can play some defense they could be the #1 team in the KLAA by the end of the year. |

Canton's 2011 class has went 9-0 on both freshmen and j.v.
they gave up a total of 110 points in both of those years and scored almost 700 points |

miford had that game in the bag. the game was tied and milford was driving when their QB got hit a broke his throwing arm.
Lost to a talented Saline JV by two points. Milfords underclassmen are going to be the surprise in the KLAA west. |

i agree the milford underclassmen are talented, but i dont think they will provide enough spark to help against Howell, or even grand blanc.

I hate to say it because I am a Glenn fan and keep a close eye on their goings on, but seeing canton jv last year................this vote should not even be
close.......it has to be canton.....tthose kids were on a completely different level...........

Canton's JV team was scary good last year. 9-0 in '08 with a very stingy defense.

Even as a Novi supporter, I'd have to agree with most and say that Canton is tops with Underclassmen. They beat us
on every level last year but i wouldn't say Novi is too far behind. Novi's freshmen team could have won that game if not all of the turnovers they
committed. Still, it's hard to believe how good Canton's teams have been. It'll be interesting to see what happens in the future, it's likely
these teams will meet in the crossover again!
