It was definitely more of a 'looking to the future' move on his part than for the money. Turn around GRCC and you have D2 knocking on your door. He'd do well at Northwood and after a couple more seasons like they just had last year I'm sure the job will be open. Succeed in D2 and then D1 comes knockin.
Honestly I would have thought D2 and Northwood in particular would have came calling since they are pretty much running the same system as TA ran at Muskegon.
If Northwood keeps having losing seasons under the new coach, I wouldn't doubt that they start talking to TA, especially if they continues running the triple option at GRCC. They hired in the system by hiring their OL coach and word out of NU was that he was going to be even better than the previous coach because all the players loved him, but then they went 2-8. NU has had a lot of recent success and they won't put up with that for too much longer.
