How come - no one has mentioned any east side teams like R.O. Shrine and Lutheran Northwest. Both are 7-0 & Luth. Northwest plays in a tougher conference
with many larger B schools.
Shrine although, might have to play Loyola twice in a row - first in the catholic prep bowl and then in the pre-district game. -And the way things are working out Mendon will be in Division 8 |

For whatever reason east side small school football is not well respected unless it is Waterford Our Lady. The rest of the teams on the east side have yet to prove they can win the big one other than obviously the now defunct Detroit Deppores. MSMCC has made some noise in the playoffs in recent years but also failed to win the big one. And if Mendon slips to D-8 D-7 is going to be wide open I would look for a strong playoff run from Decatur if this happens.
In small school ball it is all about the rest of the state. You have great teams in the thumb, UP, northern LP and west side the routinely occupy the top half of the state rankings while the east side really has no constant representative other than WOLL. |

It's lookin more and more like Mendon and TCSF again. If Mendon gets pushed to D8, does that open the door for Ravenna possibly?

Are you saying Sand Creek wont make it that far? Sand Creek will likely end up 7-2 on the regular season, with losses to Blissfield (which is respectable) and
Leslie (which makes me wonder). They did just beat a 6-0 Whitmore Lake team. I dont think Leslie or Whitmore are anywhere near the level of Mendon however.
Can Sand Creek get by Grass Lake? Depends on if G.L. goes up to D6? |

I'm not clear on this "pushed to D8" issue. What would make Mendon drop down from D7?

hi this is my first post but I know that you are all prep football pros and all but on a trip to michigan from florida last week I watched the best football of
my 52 years it was between two unbeaten teams in div. 7 the winner of that game will be your division 7 champs after two days of research on any and all
michigan prep football sites the Ubly Bearcats are not a fluke from the coaches to the waterboy they are the real deal they just missed the big show in 2003
and for the last seven years have been in the playoffs going deep 3or 4 times. this year however they have been one team on the field def. is giving up a
stingy 8 points per game avg. off. is racking up 40-45 points per game last week they played div8 #2 ranked Deckerville and opened up the first half lead 21-0
they won 36-6 there is alot of talk about mendon and tcsf but you can take it to the bank if you can still find one open in michigan .lol The Ubly Bearcats
will be Champs this year in div. 7

got a message last night from the school system - Covert/Mendon game is called off. There had been talk that Covert would forfeit if Mendon was undefeated - I
guess it happened.

ouch! - It's been interesting with the Red Arrow/SJV mixup this year - I hope it settles down to a better mix next year.
Oh well, off to the D8 forum! |

What was so interesting the long drives? It sure could not have been the games. I think I warned you about what was coming this season. The Red Arrow is
nothing short of a joke other than maybe ST. Joe LMC.

it's always interesting seeing new teams and stadiums - you're right though, the games were not thrilling. LMC was a walk - Mendon had more people in
the stands in Stevensville than LMC did. White Pigeon was the best game of Mendon's season IMHO.
Good luck to all your teams tonight - hello playoffs! |

*yawn* - 35 points for Mendon before the half - run the clock for the whole 2nd half.
Beautiful day Sat. - why Waldron could only get about 30 fans in the stands, I don't understand. Can Climax-Scotts slow MCC down? |
