Total yards in the game were 270-230 in favor of Lakeland, with much of Lakeland's yardage coming late in the 4th quarter. Up 14-0 late, Lakeland continues to throw deep balls to add insult to injury.

Look at the yards and judge for yourself how much of a "domination" that was.

I agree, strange trends the last two years. The strangeness will end next year. It's not only the score of the JV game, but the way it was played. Lakeland could barely get off the snap from center (and they were under center) with Milford's best two JV players from the year brought up to varsity. Milford scored three TD's in the first 8 minutes and called the dogs off at halftime. Back to normalcy in 2009.

I guess we'll see but I don't exactly agree with any of your assessments. Lakeland did NOT "continue to throw deep balls" in the fourth quarter. They threw ONE play action pass to salt the game away to their TE for a 30 yard TD after pounding the ball down the field. If you're going to quote game stats, get them right. I saw the final stats. Lakeland threw the ball 13 times (completing 10 of them) and most of them were well before the fourth quarter. Lakeland accumulated 360 total yards. What doesn't show up in the stats are the plays called back by penalty. Two TD plays and a lot more yards were negated by questionable calls at best.

4th and 9 from the 40, with about 5 minutes left, fade ball from Lakeland.

Lakeland had 267 yards of offense, regardless of what your homer statistician has.

Questionable calls? How about the pass interference that set up the first TD when the receiver turned up and ran into the DB?

Lakeland threw TWO passes on their FIRST possession of the fourth quarter. One swing pass and one on fourth down. The only other pass of the quarter came to salt the game away with around three minutes to go. Those are the undisputable facts. Throwing on third down and long up only two scores is hardly an insult unless you truly don't understand the game.

Regardless, it's amazing to see someone with Milford ties reduced to sniveling on a web site. To anyone that saw the game there was no insult but maybe crying about "injury" is warranted. Milford was beaten and outclassed all night long. Instead of admitting the better team won, Milford apparently is seeking refuge in delusional statistics and imagined slights. They received one key penalty all night and it was as justified as it comes. (That was clearly pass interference) Lakeland had multiple touchdowns called back and still found the fortitude to overcome the officials. It just goes to show you that the right team won.

No, I'm just sick and tired of all the Lakeland sniveling that's been going on here for the past two seasons. Lakeland had sucked for so long and there is no chatter. All of the sudden, Lakeland finds some success and they come on sites like this and can't shut up. When you whine about TD's coming back because of "questionable" calls (both holding penalties were totally legit, by the way) it is you who is sniveling. And I have given Lakeland credit before, and I give them credit now for having the slightly better team. Who was the first person on this site to pick Lakeland to win the North? That was me. Have we ever heard any of you Lakeland people giving Milford respect? Hell, no.

Hmm, and when did you and the other Lakeland people come on here and give Milford their due any of the previous years; years when Milford routed Lakeland? Yeah, that would be never. So don't talk about how I'm sniveling when that's all Lakeland people do. You squawk around when Lakeland wins (especially against Milford) but when things are going badly (like they do most years), you hide.

I wonder which it will be next year? Whichever it is, it will be cowardly.
