Anyone have any quantifiable reasons that this game could be a trap game for CC? The only one I can think of is that DC is a better program than NDP and CC might look past them to week 9. Home crowd and all. Finally get some FB weather. I think CC should win fairly handily.

While Searn is wise to always respect your opponent (and I do) and DC has something to play for, most CHSL teams have something to play for all the time. Regardless of any of that however, DC is probably hopelessly outmanned. Even if PendyDope says otherwise on the M(orons)Live Forum. In fact the last DC team I remember of any substance, was the Truax and Shay teams, and I think CC beat them by more than 3 TDs

Dunno). CC won 34-7 and think I remember Shay getting crunched by a CC DB in one of the better hits in the season.

Didn't CC win 2 state and 2 CHSL championships during Forystek's 4 seasons at Divine Child? Yep those were down times! The one year that they played where you might say CC was "down" ---- CC only beat Divine Child 24-19

I'm thinking CC wins by a score of around 38 -14. Not because I have seen DC play, cuz I haven't, and not because I think CC can light it up on O. It would be nice to see Coach work on some new wrinkles in this game.

I expect CC just to pound it out with Capatina, and even though CC has been passing significantly more than any year in recent memory, I would be very surprised to see more like 2 or 3 passes. CC will just be too much for a DC who is expecting to lose. I've talked to several starting seniors on DC and they are just praying that it doesn't turn out like another OLSM game CC-49 DC-7

What does it say about a league when it schedules a game that should not be played ? the Child might be able to put on a playoff run ,if it did not have such a brutal regular season schedule . It might be eliminated not because it's a bad team ,but put in a position by an administration that just can't admit its not twenty years ago . Hell ,they can compete in sports where large numbers are not needed , but this kind of thing could possibly kill a program . A kid who has talent at the feeder level may decide to go else where because he just can't win at DC .

Of the "big 4" in Divine Child's division .... the CHSL only made them play 2 of them. ... so I think the CHSL showed a lot of compassion. They are a large "B" school is mostly an A and C/D league. They have 5 CHSL games ... 1. - Large A in CC - strong program. 1.. - Good size A in U of D - weak program. 1. - Small A in OLSM (only 155 students different in MHSAA enrollment) 1. - B school in NDP - smaller than DC 1. - C school in Foley - roughly have the size of Divine Child As of today 2/3 of Divine Child's losses are against teams they scheduled on their own. To be honest.... here are Divine Child's basic choices in the CHSL. Play a brutal CHSL-Central schedule ... or go out and find 9 games on their own and become an independent.... because the other option basically puts DC with mostly schools half their size. Anyway, ... considering what the CHSL has to work with .. they have been more than fair in setting up teams for DC to play. If the CHSL can pull schools like Flint Powers, Lutheran North(?), etc. .. and put together a decent "B" division ... then DC might have a case if they are still stuck with the big boys. "Crank Me Up!"
