Hey....maybe the M HC search is over. Larry Kehers, of Mount Union has had a ridiculous record of success. Oops. Perhaps that would be an anathema. Certainly a
37 game winning streak would be.
How about WI Whitewater coach Lance Leipold? First year coach....if he wins it all for M next year, they can harken back to the team Coach Carr built...sorta like Leipold back to Berezowitz. It would be a perfect story line. Just a thought... |

I have seen Kehers speak at a clinic, and was not impressed at all. I think he is the beneficiary of getting a lot of players who couldn't make grades at
Ohio State plus all the MAC schools in Ohio. I think he would be in way over his head at Michigan, or anywhere else in Division 1-A, for that matter.

Actually it has been rumored that RR and Beilen had some bumps in their relationship over the years at WVU. Does this hire make WVU the feeder system of
coaches for U of M???
 Well they have definitely made the splash they
were looking for in AA now he will just have to put it all together and make it work on the field. WV fans might be angry at AA BUT you don't hear about
any of the coaches at U of M getting death threats after a loss like RR did after WVU lost to Pitt.

I have to tell you BIGREDS, the animosity between W VA and Pitt is real. I have met a number of Pitt fans. There is real animosity there. Ditto W VA fans. If
you travel to EL to watch MSU host Pitt, and you are there as a W Va fan to root against Pitt, there is some real hatred.

Well BIGREDS, I can only assume the WV faithful were bored. I mean you can only spend so much time in the barn, 'grooming' your favorite mare.
That is intensely crazy that people would do stupid stuff like that, but again, there is something weird about that WV Pitt rivalry. Back in the 90s, when M owned Columbus, I wonder if Cooper was getting the same kind of love from the Buckeye 'fans?' |
