First, there is one more or less change to my average division breakpoint spreadsheet: Taylor Light and Life isn't fielding a team this year.

I'm considering Adrian Lenawee Christian as a JV team this fall having posted the article that said so in the first place. Detroit Allen, Harper Woods Chandler Park, and Roseville Michigan Collegiate isn't playing enough games to be in the playoffs this fall according to John's website yet. So they won't be making my list until they are eligible to do so.

John doesn't have Wyandotte Mount Carmel fielding a team this fall yet either so they are left off my list so far, but they would be in D8 anyways in case that they actually take over the closed co - op program this fall.

618 - 1 + 4 = 621 = what's on John's website in term of the number of teams for the year so far. I'm just omitting those 4 schools since they aren't playing a schedule to make the playoffs so far.

With the 5 - 4 trends, I'm afraid to say that there might not be any 5 - 4 teams making the field this year. I think that some of the schools who actually play tough schedules might rethink their strategy a little if this happens soon.

Even though a school does not schedule the required 7 games to qualify for the playoffs, they still need to be included in the total list of schools.

For the average division breakpoint spreadsheet a team needs to be eligible for the playoffs to make the list. Otherwise the breakpoints could potentially move without justification. That is my standard whether one disagrees with me or not. Another way to not make this same list is if the MHSAA put the team on the ineligible teams to make the football playoffs list - sort of what they did to another school in a different sport before due to rules violation or two. I would put the 4 schools in my other lists - just not that one since they are ineligible so far to make the playoffs. I would have to double check on Oakland Christian since I do believe that they were on my average division breakpoint list. I just wanted people to be aware of how I was doing it.

I noticed that the MHSAA lists the Flint Southwestern vs. OLSM game on the website, but not the DCC game that I mentioned on here for week 3 yet even though I emailed my MHSAA contact person about the game.
