I'm telling you guys right now, South Lyon is going to be bad. Their best players graduated, their last two JV teams were horrid, and half their coaching
staff will be brand new. This is a two-team division--the big two and the little four.
If Stevenson can find some other offensive weapons, they'll be good. They graduated hard, so I don't expect them to be that stout defensively. It's going to be White left, White right, White up the middle. He should tote the rock 30+ times a game. If defenses can load up and stop him, Stevenson could struggle a little. That said, they're still better than South Lyon, East, Northville, and Salem. ![]() |

Unless you know something that I don't, I'm not seeing Salem @ no.3. Probably Novi, Stevenson, SL, then 4,5,6 can be in any order (although I do think
that Northville have 4-5 winnable games. Something you couldn't say last year.)

To all those KVC die hards who always tout the KVC over the WLAA, seems like the vote says the WLAA teams will be the dominant teams in the divisions that have
teams from both former leagues.

Yes, a vote of 9 for the WLAA vs. 7 for the KVC certainly determines who will dominate. It appears the people feel that ONE WLAA team will possibly
"run" the division, while other people think TWO KVC teams will possibly run the division. Hmmmm, I guess that means the WLAA is dominant. In the
other mixed division WLW has ONE more vote than Lakeland as the favorite to "run" the division. If your bored, check out where Lakeland ranks
all-time in wins during the KVC years....then get back to me and explain to me why you are feeling so good about the WLAA vs. the KVC? Personally, I agree with
the votes...1) Stevenson just had their finest season ever. A trip to the finals, a win over Novi. They return many quality players. 2) WLW has won 2 state
titles, and usually fields a decent team....whereas Lakeland is only recently showing sustained success (including last years playoff win over WLW). Lakeland
has made a finals appearance also. I think the claim that the WLAA is dominant over the KVC based on a vote difference of 3 votes between two rooms is a bit
hasty however.

South Lyons' days of competing on a high level are in the rear-view mirror now. Though the junior program is large, it will be feeding two high schools
now instead of one. Therefore, talent will be split with SL East. I don't see a consistant winning program as they have posted the previous ten-plus years.
I believe it will be a two team league between Stevenson and Novi. Novi coaching is second to none. They will continue to get the most out of the players. So long as they don't build another school. |

Hey, truth, you can't tout Stevenson for recent success and then criticize Lakeland for the exact same reason. And saying WLW is better than Lakeland...um,
score from last season's playoff game, please?

Colonel, I think you may have read my post differently than it was intended to sound. I was stating that I agreed with the votes on the surface because 1)
Stevenson just appeared in a final, thus they deserve to be considered the favorite over Novi, whom they defeated. (personally, I think Novi will prove to be
the better team over the long hall). 2) I agreed with people voting WLW as the favorite because, like it or not...they have a proven history. I know Lakeland
beat Western at western last year (I predicted it), but Lakeland is just beginning to establish a consistent (assuming it continues) program.....they hold the
distinction of being the "losing-est" team in KVC history last time I checked.....um look at the winning percentage, please? You think lakeland
deserves to be held above a two-time state championship program based on their recent 2 year span? I don't, and I'm a KVC guy. Lakeland might very well
be the team to beat starting next year...but I can't argue with the logic of others choosing WLW. I want lakeland to do well....but before I crown them, I
need to see them do it consistently.

will the central be any worse competition-wise than the WLAA lakes last year? Northern and Salem weren't even in any games except against each other. I
feel like Salem is going to be on the upswing and could catch a couple of teams napping.

Novi isn't going to be good as everyone expects. They graduated fairly hard and the incoming junior class is subpar and may not be up to the challenge due
to their lack of size. If Stevenson can get players to help out Wade Stahl and the other White brother on that line they should be good offensively, but may
struggle defensively. As a complete turn around I feel as though Northville will prove to be a surprising power this year in the central division. The Novi
varsity classes on this year's team hasn't beat Northville on the JV or Freshman level in their respective years. So if all goes as everyone says,
it'll be a three way tie for the first and second spots between Novi, Northville and Stevenson.
My placing for this will be: 1/2)Northville 1/2)Stevenson 1/2)Novi 4)South Lyon 5)Salem 6)SLE |

2 games last year when mitchell white was injured. Stevenson should take the central.

the spartans return one of the most explosive running games in the state, have a very potent recieving corpse with Zeb Bacigal. Have a strong offensive line,
have a great defensive line with Rich Sayig having double digget sacks. A vicious linebacker core with Kyle Hobbins and Wyatt Stahl. two very good corners with
Steve Eidah and Mark Griza, even though Griza didnt show it against Demasters. The only thing that will keep the spartans from going 9-0 again will be the game
against Franklin, who could win the south division. That August 28th matchup should draw a crowd bigger than the 10,000 that showed up for the regional game
last year, and should be the number 1 game in the state.
