actually they are short of the 85 schollies they can have on the team. So as a result Rod is trying his best to offer the 25 that he can each year to get to
those numbers. From what he said he needs something like 16 OL, he has 15 right now, and 10 WRs which I have no clue how many he has right now. So he plans to
have his numbers be correct in two to three years. He is keeping that lone scholly free for a reason. He may pick up a another WR if needed but I think his eye
is on a QB. He has 3 QBs so far he has talked about that he will look at. As for the current starters, uhm well their is none according to him. Everybody is
going to compete for a starting role. But he did say that ones that had played in games will get special benifit but thats all. BTW he also mentioned that Bass
in particlar has recieved his 2nd medical redshirt. So if and when he can come back he will have 3 years starting next fall.

Well the pryor sweepstakes should end this weekend. PIAA Class AA championship game is this afternoon at 2pm and after that Pryor should be making his choice.
I do hope he goes to Michigan and does both Football and Basketball. It would be awesome! But I can only hope. Well here is to his decision and I hope he
forgets about that school in that state down south.

Well Pryor has stated after the championship game that he has narrowed the choice down to two schools. Its either Ohio State, Penn State, Michigan, or Oregon.
Which of those two is his final two he doesnt say. As for when he makes his pick well we shall see by the end of next week. So it looks like he is waiting out
until near the deadline. As for the basketball game, well Jeannette won. So they are now from what I read the first WPIAL school to win both state
championships in basketball and football in the same year. Quite a feat.

What a joke this kid's (parents likely) situation is turning out to be. Might have all the talent in the world, and maybe we shall see. Right now what he
has proven that he (parents most likely ) is quite the attention #!%%#.
If he does not end up at M I will be rooting against his team once he takes the helm. |

Sounds like UM is still in the running, but it looks like an outside shot. Columbus will most likely be the destination for Pryor. One more thing before
Mahatma G can steal my thunder and inflate his post count, UM should be just fine though IMO

Michigan will be just fine of course, but I sure would have loved to get this kid. He would be an instant starter at UM and may not have that chance at OSU his
first year. I do hope he plays basketball and I think he will, at least this first season. The kid is an amazing talent....along the lines of a Vick or James
IMO.

i wanted him to come to UM. i think this is a bad move career-wise. michigan or oregon would have been the smart choice. oh well. i'm sure he'll do
fine at the university of ohio state.

dc, had he come to M the aggregate gpa of the student body would have dropped almost a full point - I wonder what he will do for a Presser tomorrow?

i don't think he's that stupid. he was just duped by tressel's cash, i mean personality. i did want him to come to UM, but since he picked the one
school i want to see lose regardless of situation, i have to turn my back on him. i feel like Paulie Cicero, and pryor is Henry Hill.

Apparently U of M did want him, as they pursued him right up to the point where he made his announcement. However, he has played the media, fans and coaches
like a fiddle. Do you want to have to deal with that sort of attitude on your team? Sometimes yes. RR knows what he can and cannot handle. And, getting him
into the maize and blue keeps him out of the cremson and gray.
I especially appreciate his comment that he can get to the pro's better through OSU. Tell that to Brady etc. So, I stick to my earlier comment, IMHO we are better off without him. Time will tell. I HAVE BEEN WRONG BEFORE!!! GO EK!! |

Being an Ohio State fan, I was happy to see him announce there, but I won't jump on the bandwagon until he starts to make some college plays. I don't
think he has ever been hit like he will get hit by Big Ten LB's. That could slow him down a little. My buddy Justin Zwick from HS was supposed to be the
next best QB when he was recruited by OSU. He was an Elite 11 QB and had all the tangibles. Look where he ended up. Back-up for the majority of his career and
now is playing Arena Football in Columbus. I like Pryor and believe he has the tools to be great, but so did a ton of other college PROSPECTS. Im just ready to
sit back and see how he develops before I go around letting the nation know we have the next heisman.
U of M fans, I believe you will get your QB and your athletes. I think you will change the Big Ten's thinking of large and beefy to smaller and quicker. You will make teams recruit to counter your spread option. This will take away from their core recruiting of their needs. This gives you the recruiting edge in the long run. Good luck this year and let's watch the transition. |

Your buddy was supposed to have been the number 1 QB prospect the year he was recruited, and the kid that beat him out for the job and won the Heisman was the
15.
