Did the Detroit PSL teams gain students? |

Perhaps a Detroit PSL expert can answer that question. I won't post the link since it is political in nature, but there was a quote in there about Detroit
having 10 schools above the 2000 student mark. On the 2007 - 2008 football SEN numbers that I did, I could only find 4 such schools. This means that another
6 went above that 2000 number threshold. So can someone confirm that there are 10 such schools currently (and will be listed as such for the MHSAA next year)
or I'm correct that the reporter didn't know what he was talking about again.

There really needs to be a restructuring of school systems in many of Michigan's urban areas. Seems likely that the same can be said of the Detroit school
system. In that event, the remaining schools would gain in enrollment.

"Word on the street is that Connie Calloway does not recognize the union and may not talk with them. If this happens, you will see a mass exodus even
worse than in 2006."
Can you say where you got this info and how reliable you think it is? I know alot of people with their ear to the ground, and nobody is hearing this. Thanks. |
