Gotta be D2. King will bring the home crowd, and Midland will travel VERY well.

I don't know what King will bring, but Midland sold out their allotment in less than 3 hours. I think it was only 2000 tickets though. Could be a bit of
a line buying them at Ford.

Yep,
I'm down here now heading to Ford in less than an hour, Back to Midland, then down to Allendale. Hopefully get 2 of 3 Football wins this Tday weekend. Lions are out, leaving the Chemics and Lakers. Just looking for a fun game this afternoon and maybe watching 2 good bands at half. |

It's going to be hard to top D2's attendance.

Does anyone know what the actual attendance was game by game? I'm having trouble finding it. Thanks.

It appears that the MHSAA just lists the attendance for the day by the final game of the day. The attendance for the even numbered games was 30,760 while the
odd numbered games was 30,341 to bring the total for the year to 61,101. I read that since the finals moved to Ford Field this was the first time that the
attendance went over the 30K mark mark for a day. So both days went over that mark. I probably would have went to a session or two if the games would have
been held at the old Pontiac Silverdome (easier drive for me LOL!!!). This was one of the reasons why the MHSAA had their questionaire online this year since
football attendance for the playoffs are down.

The three crowds that stuck out in my mind as being the biggest and loudest were 1. Liv. Stevenson 2.Marine City 3. Midland

Midland's crowd was definitely loud in the first half but no way were they larger than MLK's crowd. The King stands were totally full from endzone to
endzone.

MahatmaG wrote: From my seat at that game I would say Midland had just as many fans as King, endzone to endzone. In fact, the King side had some open seats in the outer
sections once you got outside the middle 3-4 sections. The outer sections were mostly full, but you could tell they weren't packed. But honestly, does it
really matter? I don't see how anyone could look at those stands and say DEFINITIVELY who had more fans there, it was very comparable.

eagle, I would have to agree with you. While I enjoyed all the games from home this year it did provide a certain vantage. Coupling the MHSAA statistics that
MrNCAA provided, and seeing how relatively sparse the D3 game was, I would say that the D1 game had the largest crowd. It would figure too. Biggest schools in
the Finals, as well as an easy drive for both schools.
