Stevenson is returning four Offensive lineman, so i'm not to concerned about that, and expect them to put up alot of points this year. What really surprised me so far during passing league is how well O'hara is playing. From what i've seen, teams wont be able to put 8 or 9 in the box to stop White because of the threat of a passing game.

I see someone on the Detroit News forum that is now using this article to call Tom's best player in the east as Fracasa. Basically Tom Markowski did no such thing. Tom called Jason the east's best playmaker, not player. When his official best player regardless of county list comes out in August I'm expecting other Macomb County players to be ahead of him on the list.

One guy claimed to be a Grand Blanc fan for over 30 years on mdead east, but yet overlooks Steve...

Yep ... Grand Blanc was very young in 2008 ... and will likely be one of the most talented teams in Michigan at the...

Saw Grand Blanc vs. Hartland in the playoffs last year, and GB really got manhandled. They have a ton of work to do to move to the next level in the playoffs. They looked to be a young team, so if they grow and improve, they should be OK, but they bear watching in any case.

Can't disagree with that.

That's kind of the outsiders view of Grand Blanc going into 2009 I think ... I have a feeling most that are not inside the program to know how these kids are developing are generally...

GB will be explosive on Offense and will score alot of points, if the Defense comes together, this a team you might wanna watch out for come Playoff time!!!

Searnizsweet...what do you know about the GB defense? Do you realize we have 8 guys back on the def side of the ball also? First 5 games last year we gave up nearly 24 points a game I believe. Then the last 5 games they gave up around 14 points per game. We started a ton of young kids last year that got much better as the year went on.

Grand Blanc has far more bark than bite, still won't be able to stop anyone. Everyone on BBR's team is a Division 1A prospect. Charette will not need to "carry" the team. RBs Bruce and Stevenson, along with a VERY good group of LBs.. even though they don't play in the CHSL, they're still pretty good. Sorry.

First, I want to thank Tom for posting this real early. It provides some real info even if I disagree with his preseason ratings.

I will start in the North since basically most people will have the CHSL Oakland County teams as follows to start the season:
1. DCC
2. BBR
3. OLSM

It is true that the Wolves defense sucked but practically every position will have a player that started at least one game at some point in time last year. 1 Freshmen...

Nice to see an early preview from Markowski. It helps me with my pre-season rankings. I agree with a lot of what Tom says, but I think he is way off base in a couple areas. Probably my biggest area of disagreement is his ranking of OLSM. I think they will have a hard time making the playoffs, let alone be the number two team in the North. Their performance at the Michigan State 7 on 7 (see Prepseer.com) should be an eye-opener and a concern for OLSM fans A 30-5 trouncing by the Ft....

I'm just glad to see some football coverage out there...

A lot of that seems reasonable ....

Tom must have some sources inside the CHSL that are not in line with any 'insiders' I have heard from .... But you never know .... Crazier things have happened ... That's for sure.
