			<description><![CDATA[ I don&#39;t think the big 10 was overrated ... because I don&#39;t think people had it highly rated in the first place.

I agree they had tough Bowl matchups. .... but the reason they got those tough matchups were because teams that matched up with them based on standings (give
or take) from other conferences were better teams ... showing that it wasn&#39;t a very tough conference. ]]></description>

			<description><![CDATA[ One other point to keep in mind when people say that the Big 10 conference was overrated last year.  Based on Sagarin&#39;s ratings the conference did as
expected in the Bowl Games whether one wants to ackowledge that particular fact or not:

			<description><![CDATA[ Basically I disregard the wins and losses against the non D1A when I do the power ratings.  If a teams loses to them, it usually shows up in other games.

I should have said the my Power Underdogs wins 70%+ against the final pointspread, not ouright wins.  All the adjustments have to do with putting teams on an
equal basis.  I&#39;m done arguing since the Power Underdogs is &quot;recent&quot; as well (probably more recent than what Searn is suggesting). ]]></description>

LSU was down in 2008, another year like that 2009 would probably take them off my list.

Miami and ND are quite a ways from being in the elite group ... right now are trying to prove them belong with the &quot;good&quot; teams let alone elite or
very good .... A BCS bowl from either Notre Dame or Miami this coming season would be a good indication in my mind that they are on their way back to at least... ]]></description>

			<description><![CDATA[ Here are the &quot;elite&quot; teams in the 2009 Power Underdogs (going 5 deep, but due to tie there&#39;s 6 listed).  Wins over non NCAA D1A teams were taken
out plus 2 other adjustments.  There used to be 4 adjustments, but the actual NCAA organization eliminated one for me a while back (won&#39;t say what they
did).  Everyone knows that I take out those non D1A wins or don&#39;t count them in the power ratings so that shouldn&#39;t be a shocker when I did that for

			<description><![CDATA[ Mr NCAA, the Bucks record is the product of a weak conference (The Big Ten is overrated IMO). If you look at the 90&#39;s who did Ohio State play that was any
good? Even with the 7-5 record for LSU, its safe to say they would easily beat Ohio State and Penn State because GT would have both teams on the ropes. ]]></description>

			<description><![CDATA[ First, people can&#39;t overrule on the field calls or there were several controversial Super Bowl wins as well.  I can remember some controversial calls going
the SEC way during their NC wins as well.  Next, the Buckeyes have lost less games than LSU has since 2000.  Next up, LSU had so many losing season in the
1990&#39;s that it is pathetic to put them on the list.  If you want to go back 10 years, Buckeyes are better.  Go back to 1990 and it&#39;s a no brainer.

1. USC- Its self explanatory why they&#39;re the top.
<br>

2. Florida-2 NC&#39;s in the last three years is very impressive (Especially playing in the toughest conference in CF)

3. Texas- The most consistent programs win wise, 10 win seasons every year under Mack Brown. Plus 05 NC against a very good USC team.
<br>

4. LSU- The first to two BCS NC&#39;s, I know they were 7-5 this year but they showed why the SEC is tops against GT in the Peach Bowl.... ]]></description>

			<description><![CDATA[ I agree on OSU Searn. Tressel has done a great job and OSU is an elite Big 10 team that went on one of the greatest runs in Big 10 conference play in a long
time, but when you get hammered twice in the BCS title game it is hard to call OSU and elite national program. ]]></description>
