Recent coaching changes ... some success early this decade...... followed up by some more recent down seasons ...

All 3 of these teams I considered power programs at one time or another ... and have been ranked in my Super 32 rankings many times..... but have fallen upon
some tough times in possibly the top division in Michigan.

Who gets back into the playoffs first in a tough OK Red?

East Kentwood Falcons: Last playoff appearance 2004

2000: 6-4

2001: 5-4

2002: 13-1 (state finals)...

All of those teams are rebuilding, however, we should be much better this year and even better the year after. If we can get our defense squared away, we could
make a very good run in two years... however, Sigler is a genius at G'ville and he will turn that program around in short order too! Should be fun!

GO EK!

With Hudsonville losing so many players from 2008 .... this could be the year for one of the teams mentioned in the poll to jump into that 3rd spot...

I'm not really sure who it will be though.

Jenison and Grand Haven last year looked a couple years away from being really competitive again ...

EK beat Grandville but lost to the other 3 on the list in close games, they have plenty to prove ...

West Ottawa and Grandville had decent years, with a good number of kids returning, but certainly won't dominate ...

Rockford has to be the favorite in the Red until proven otherwise (due to Muskegon coaching change), but after that it could be a fun year

from a 4-5 team, including their dual threat QB who was only a sophomore. The biggest thing that could prevent them from making the playoffs is coaching. From
what I've been told, Jenison has had a large increase in players coming out for football at all levels. Sigler has sparked a lot interest in that program
and I have no doubt that...
