Well personally I don't think the Northwest players even really care, that Westland wasn't even exciting or competitive after the first 5 mintues.
Westland had maybe 80 total yards of offense. And I believe most of Northwest's back-up linemen played a ton that game.

Footballa---So if NW's dominant line was still in the game in the second half, why didn't they score another 35 points on the Warriors? Or maybe one score? NW has a good line, but please don't try to tell me that Westland's skill players are as good as Northwest's. And, yes, you are right, NW could have beaten Westland without Matt Rolf. arthurhill, you obviously don't understand what I am saying. Let me put it to you more simply: Lutheran Northwest beat Lutheran Westland because their linemen were much, much better. Not because of Matt Rolf. Yes, Matt Rolf was out at half. Why did they continue to play well? Their linemen were still in. Do you get it??

Against Westland the score was 35-0 at the half. Rolf sat the entire second half. Final score 35-0. Were Westland's skill players also sitting out the entire second half?

Wow - I don't even think I should get into this arguement! LoL

Northwest is solid all around not many weak spots - but thier strenghts on defense has been thier LB's - especially in a 4-4 defense you have to have good LB's if you dont it will be a long year. But the D-line did and does do a great job keeping O-linemen off the LB's and filling thier gaps. Northwest secondary has also come up big this year as well with 11 INT's -- 2 for TD's.

I completely agree! They were far superior. Not even close. Northwest's line was much better than Westland's. But, here is my question to you: are Northwest's skill players better than Westland's? Maybe. But, I would say Westland isn't far behind. Haller, Ahlersmeyer (3-time 1st team all conference), Kemp, and Shoats. Those are some pretty good athletes. One thing you can compare: Northwest's line to their opponent's lines so far this year. For example, NW's line was far superior to Westland's line.

You can't compare the NFL to high school football. They are almost different sports. The game is much different between the two. A high school defensive end is much different than an NFL defensive end. All I am saying is that the defensive linemen of Northwest were very good. Their job was to plug up holes. Hey footballa I totally agree that Northwest had a good line this and without them it would of been a long, hard season. My only point was that even if Gainer is a stud athlete he didn't show it at least that much defensively this year and his stats back that up.
Now I know you can't go on stats alone but my Last statement on this is:

Yes but if people don't agree with their decision they can still have a voice.
And obviously you haven't seen berkseth play cause if he was 3 inches taller and 50 lbs heavier he could be Urlacher. This also is the Metro conference not the NFL and he is only a junior. If this kids hits the weights hard before next season he could be a beast.
