Westland had maybe 80 total yards of offense. And I believe most of Northwest's back-up linemen played a ton that game.

Footballa---So if NW's dominant line was still in the game in the second half, why didn't they score another 35 points on the Warriors? Or maybe one
score? NW has a good line, but please don't try to tell me that Westland's skill players are as good as Northwest's. And, yes, you are right, NW
could have beaten Westland without Matt Rolf. But could NW have beaten Clarenceville or Parkway without him? All of the members of the team are important. You

Wow - I don't even think I should get into this arguement! LoL

Northwest is solid all around not many weak spots - but thier strenghts on defense has been thier LB's - especially in a 4-4 defense you have to have good
LB's if you dont it will be a long year. But the D-line did and does do a great job keeping O-linemen off the LB's and filling thier gaps. Northwest
secondary has also come up big this year as well with 11 INT's -- 2 for TD's.

You can't compare the NFL to high school football. They are almost different sports. The game is much different between the two. A high school defensive
end is much different than an NFL defensive end. All I am saying is that the defensive linemen of Northwest were very good. Their job was to plug up holes. Not
very hard when you are the biggest guys on the field. But, that was their job. This made it easier for the rest of NW's defense to make the plays.

Then, cuz I must have too much time on my hands, I checked the NFL all-time sack leaders: 7 of 10 are DEs, one (Kevin Greene) was a LB/DE, 1 was solely a LB

Wolverado, it is a fact that defense and offense begins with linemen. You can't be successful without it. The defensive line's job is not to make
tackles. Their main job is really to plug up holes. It is really hard for a defensive linemen to get off a block fast enough to make a tackle every play. That
is why they have less tackles than linebackers. Defensive linemen plug up the holes, so the other team's offensive linemen cannot get out on those
linebackers. If the defensive...
