Cranbrook 33 - North 21 > Wow I don't think anyone picked CK to win this one. Can anyone tell how the game went? I
know North's defense has been improving and so has CK offense but still... How does Cranbrook lose to a down Westland team, barely beat Hamtramck and then
trounch North? Good Job. A 4 win season for North - that hasn't happened since 1996.

Clarenceville 48 - Hamtramck 0 > Looks like Hamtramck has run out of a little steam after getting pounded by North - I...

No spread for Cranbrook, Primetime. The QB was under center all night and did not have the shotgun ballfake option to the running back that defines a spread
offense. The success came on straight drop-back passing and play-action sprint out passing and QB draws. Four wideouts at times yes, but No Spread. Michigan
runs a spread. Ohio State runs a spread. Northwest, North, at times Westland, and at times Hamtramck run a spread. Cranbrook does not as of game 4. No
spread. I'm sure...

Lutheran Westland 34 - University Prep 18

Lutheran Westland stayed with the spread offense and the 3-5 defense, and it payed off. They ran the ball and passed the ball well for the first time this
year. A fumble recovery for a touchdown made the game relatively close. If that blunder didn't happen, it would've been 34 to 10 (U Prep was up 10-0 in
the beginning with a safety). So, Westland's offense has come together, and it looks like the spread is their best option....

... I didn't think Cranbrook would be the team to spoil my week 8 predictions, but hats off to the cranberries who shocked me and probably Lu North too,
with their 27-0 blast out of the gate, in their first half play last night; Lu Northwest might not have enhanced their #5 ranking in the associated press
division 7 poll, but I'm sure the coaching staff at NW was glad to get a tight-game situation under their belt. They will surely have more close/tough
games as they move into the...

looked like the Hamtown of old. If they don't find a way to have more than 15 kids out of an enrollment of 1000, this program is 1-3 years away from being
extinct.

North game was very positive for Cranbrook in many ways. Defense again showed much improvement and helped with good field position for offense. Half-time
score was 27-0. North never gave up and had a strong passing game in second half. Cranbrook's offense was crisp and found passing lanes open all over
the North defense. Mike Corey had his best game with 4 TD passes, 2 to Sherman who they could not cover and 2 to Peck when they laid off Sherman. Peck was a
monster on defense as...
