Finally tried a Red Coat Burger ...

It was very good, but maybe a little over hyped.... but I guess a burger can only be so good.

Food update:

Since I first posted this I tried Sonic and it was pretty good .... but I ate at another place named Culvers and I liked their "butter burger" better than the burger at Sonic.

For those interested they have locations in Westland, Lake Orion and Belleville ... not only fast food type stuff but they actually have some "dinners' as well as deserts.

Keep talkin' up those deals.... I know back in the winter Max & Erma's was doing a $1.50 ANY draft pints promo and 25% off their appetizers from 9 till close. Good deal although don't recommend filling up with bar food and brews, and then sleeping on it.

Now that this topic has come back ... does anyone know if East Side Marios still has $0.10 Wing Wed nights?

I used to go to the one in Livonia almost every week for a while about 7 or 8 years ago ....

The deal only started after 9pm every Wed. ... I'm sure they hoped people would come in buy drinks and such with the cheap wings ... but I typically left with a bill under $2.00

I have to agree Lu and Rubys is pretty sweet. I've been to many bars in Milford and by far lu and rubys is the best one. I'm not a "regular" but it seems like every time I come in their there are specials of all sorts and wednesday i think was 35 cent wings in five or six flavors. They had two dollar shock tops but I prefer the ninety nine cent pbr's myself. the wait staff is pretty hot too, i couldnt make up my mind whether to look at the girls or look at the...

I don't think I ever tried the wings at the Red Dog.... I had a pretty decent Chicken Sandwich and some average mini tacos.

Mostly because most places you go the the wings are garbage in my opinion, especially a lot of bars and diner type places. ..... especially when the menu calls them "wing dings"......... though a good wing is among my favorite foods to order.

Unless I'm at a handful of places, I usually stay away from Wings and get a burger or...

I forgot to mention that I took on the Good Colonel's suggestion (up the thread) and did try the wings at The Red Dog. And, they were pretty doggone good.

Now he also mentioned getting 'railed' at the Red Dog. Is he referring to 'pairing up' at closing time?

Update:

I ate today at FATBURGER in Southfield.... and had a FAT BURGER

I would say very good for a fast food style place.

But ... I wouldn't make a trip for it.

The filet at Appeteaser, when your fav team wins or lots of liquid at The Red Doggie if they lose?

Coincidentally, the last time I was at Duke's of Milford I started out with a tortilla 'soup'

With some new 'higher end" fast food joints coming to metro Detroit this spring ... Fatburger and Sonic ...

Now, I don't really "like" any fast food around ... but sometimes you are on the go, and you need to eat something.

I'm interested to check out Sonic due to all the raving about it people that are not from Michigan do about it.

Which ones do you really like ... .and which ones do you avoid at all costs?
