        <![CDATA[ First, I know that the Lions are going to be bad until the team is sold so it is useless to discuss this. However just like spring training for baseball,
attitudes are good at the beginning of the season for football as well and it all stems from the draft choices and free agent signings.

One thing I noticed while browsing CBS Sportsline (sorry didn&#39;t save link) during the draft on the Lions draft choices, it looks like they are
&#39;Marinelli&#39; type players. Constant reference to work habits, tape watcher, etc. A couple with very good speed for their position, looked to be a very
promising group. I&#39;d say B to B+ because I think Calvin Johnson may actually pay off.

throws.  I probably had the same questions about Brady when he got drafted, so I should probably hold my judgement.  Nonetheless, I still think drafting him in
the second round was a reach.

			<description><![CDATA[ I didn&#39;t think it was a necessary pick at the time but I&#39;m going along with the Stanton thing I just decided.   I think Drew has some intangibles that
you can&#39;t teach and has enough physical ability to have a nice NFL career assuming he can make smart decisions and make it though a 16 game NFL season.

<p>Hard to disagree with that ... BUT... I can&#39;t help but think of some of the past drafts where I thought the Lions may have landed an A or and A+ draft

If they can patch together a decent OL I think the Lions should at the very least be entertaining in 2007. A second year in Martz&#39; system ... and it seems
like the trio of Williams, Johnson and Furry should be one of the top WR trios in the league ... even though the same was to be thought about Williams, (Mike)
